Dear Colleagues,
Providing our pilots with the most advanced equipment and training for air combat is a complex and highly demanding task. We must continue to ensure we are prepared to meet current and future threats, and to support deployed forces in various roles. As the Commandant of the Istituto di Scienze Militari Aeronautiche (ISMA) in Florence, it is my pleasure to host the 2008 International Fighter Conference to address these important issues and to drive progress in the field of air combat and fighter aircraft capability.
The conference this year is taking place in Florence in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the ISMA. It is an important year in our history and we will be delighted to welcome you in 2008. I look forward to meeting you in November!
