The Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium
The Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC) is a non-profit international organization committed to developing an industry approach to network centric operations. Established in 2004, the NCOIC fosters the collaboration of industry, government and academia towards the rapid, global deployment of network-centric applications. The Consortium's primary goals are threefold-to adopt common open standards, to share best practices and processes and to encourage collaboration, thus enabling the industry to develop interoperable products that will help government customers achieve greater efficiency. The NCOIC has delivered several tools and products aimed at enhancing systems and services' interoperability and operational resilience, while reducing the cost of developing new capabilities-even as they become more prolific.
