NEW: Learning Styles

Learning comes in many shapes and styles. At IQPC, we are enhancing the learning delivery methods of our events to help you extract the most information from each and every session. By incorporating unique learning styles you can customize the program to maximize the time you spend at the event and enhance your personal professional development. Below is a description of the types of formats that will be used for each session and for your convenience, sessions will display the learning type logo prominently.

Traditional Classroom Sessions
Some session content still presents itself best through
the tried and true delivery format of the classroom style
learning. In these sessions, the presenter will present to you
either a case study of their organizations success/learning and
the problems they have experienced around the topic or,
outline findings in a similar style as to what you would expect
in a university class lecture.
Roundtable Discussions
A more informal group discussion led by an expert
focused on a particular topic of interest. The roundtable discussions are the least formal of the event. Groups will be broken down into smaller discussion groups to address the topic at hand and each group will then relay their feedback to the main group at the end of the session. The role of the group leader will be to make sure the group sizes are conducive to discussion (maximum 12 people per group) and make sure that each group presents (through a nominated participant) back briefly to the entire group on their discussions.
Site Tours
An in situ look at a real Shared Service organization in
operation. Sometimes visualization is just not enough and we wish that we could actually see what happens in a real life situation. Our site tours take the guesswork out of the process. The site tour takes you on site to a leading organizations operation and shows you not only the layout of the center but allows you to meet with the different heads of departments, see the technology in action and ask all of those questions you really want to ask the people at the coal face.
“Scenario Setting”
In these interactive sessions the speakers sets the scenario and the group work together to problem solve. Many of you come to events to learn from one another on a more informal basis than the classroom style of learning traditionally allows for. The “group therapy” nature of the session allows all of the delegates to share ideas around the topic and learn from one another. To facilitate this learning, the session leader will set a scenario around a timely issue within the industry and will
document the solutions brought to the floor by the audience. Post event, this information will be fed back to our entire delegation via the event website.
Masterclass
A ‘super’ workshop
The masterclass sessions provide a deep dive into a topic. Lasting 4 hours, the masterclasses provide additional time for discussion and the chance to bring your issues to the table
Workshops
These are ‘hands on’ practical tool based learning session
An IQPC workshop is a 3 hour intensive look at a particular topic. Workshops are hands on practical sessions that allow for examples to be presented and tools to be tested with the idea being that you take the tools and techniques used in the workshop straight back to your business to see immediate impact. In the workshop you will receive tools and a workbook to guide you through the sessions and for future reference. Be prepared to come and do some work!

Transform Your Shared Services through A/P Automation

Brainware

A Financial Shared Services center is tasked with lowering operating costs while increasing efficiencies and overall productivity. When considering automating critical functions such as Invoice or Order processing, it’s the perfect time to look at those processes and how to make them more efficient.

HMPS transformed its accounts payable operations by incorporating a Financial Shared Service Center, and as a result, immediately reaped the benefits. View the HMPS testimonial video at www.brainware.com/ssc
