“I’d like to know what's going on in the rest of the world in terms of trends, latest gadgets, fashion, news etc. I am on the web a lot, reading, finding out about many of the latest updates and 'trying' to be ahead and of course, trying to be different and remain edgy and yet maintaining relevance.â€

Prying into the heads of youths? How about getting into this year’s speakers’ heads first?
We’ve asked our speakers what their perceptions of youths today are and here’s what they’ve come back with:
“From fun loving to responsible, adventurous to safe and youths are no longer in a city but in a global village.â€
Nushad Perera, Dialog Telekom PLC and Dialog Television
“Youths of today are much more in sync with the rest of the world in terms of global trends, fashion, style, tech, gadgets, because of the speed and vast amount of information that can be obtained via the internet. They are very savvy and sensitive to changes and what's hot and what's not. Now, that's scary... :)

“It is getting more difficult to predict the behavior and shopping patterns of youths these days. With the influx of rapidly evolving technology and the pervasiveness of the Internet, trends shift even faster than before as youth discover various new avenues and mediums to pursue their interests.â€
Ki’ern R Tan, LIME

“It depends on who you consider to be "the youth". Increasingly, "youth" seems to be defined by a state of mind rather than your biological age. More people who do not fit the traditional youth demographic (e.g. 16-24 year olds) are thinking and behaving in a youthful manner."
Dr. Mark Chong, Practice Associate Professor, Singapore Management University
